I was born in 1962, graduating from Medical School in 1992 and working as a general practitioner for 3 years. I completed residency program in "Maternal & Child Health" in the Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 1999. Then, I joined the Iranian Institute for Health Sciences Research working as faculty for 5 years. I have started MSc course in "Mental Health Services Research" in King's College London in 2005, where I have awarded two years "Visiting Research Associate" involving in a research project on Adolescents' self-harm in the King's College Hospital in South London. My main research focus is on child and adolescents’ mental health. I have started working as Department Head since June 2014.
