Ergonomics Master’s Thesis Defense: Advancing Driver Mind-Wandering Detection
Negin Sakhaei, MSc ergonomics student, successfully defended her Master’s thesis on machine-learning-based detection of driver mind-wandering using steering grip force and head kinematics.
On September 26, Negin Sakhaei successfully defended her Master’s thesis, titled "Feasibility Assessment of Using Steering Grip Force and Head Kinematic Indicators as a Novel Methodology for Detecting Driver Mind-Wandering Using Machine Learning." This research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Mojtaba K. Danesh and Dr. Ali Nahvi, with Dr. Ehsan Garosi as the academic advisor. The thesis was publicly presented and evaluated at the conference room of the Department of Occupational Health Engineering, with Dr. Seyed Abolfazl Zakerian and Dr. Davood Afshari serving as thesis examiners.
