Welcome to the Master of Public Health Program

Public health is at the forefront of addressing some of the world's most pressing challenges from emerging infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases to health inequities, environmental threats, humanitarian crises, and the growing impact of climate change. Meeting these challenges requires professionals who can integrate scientific evidence, strategic thinking, and effective leadership to improve the health of populations.

The Master of Public Health (MPH) Program at the School of Public Health, Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), prepares physicians and health professionals to become leaders in public health practice, research, and policy. Through an interdisciplinary and competency-based curriculum, students develop the knowledge, analytical skills, and practical experience needed to design, implement, manage, and evaluate public health programs in diverse settings.

Our program integrates the core disciplines of public health including epidemiology, biostatistics, health systems, health promotion, environmental health, and research methods with leadership development, critical thinking, scientific communication, and evidence-informed decision-making.
