A two-day meeting brought together heads of disaster and emergency risk management departments and accident prevention experts of health vice-chancellors of medical sciences universities from the whole country. This event was held on July 30-31, 2024, in the School of Public Health council hall. The purpose of strategic and operational planning involved undertaking measures in accident prevention such as road traffic crashes, drowning, carbon monoxide poisoning, and accidents caused by the utilization of powerful explosives and their consequences (on the last Wednesday of the year) as well. This meeting was implemented by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, the country's traffic police, department of transportation planning and development at the nationwide level, the National Medical Emergency Organization, the fire department and safety services of Tehran municipality, and with the presence of keynote speakers invited from the medical universities of Iran, Qazvin, and Gilan.
