The field of Medical Virology is a branch of basic medical sciences and one of the trends in the field of laboratory sciences, in which students with structural and biological characteristics of viruses, laboratory diagnosis methods of viruses, methods of prevention and control of viral diseases. To acquire the necessary ability to conduct research, diagnostic, educational activities and provide services related to public health in order to prevent and control viral diseases.
The Virology Department accepts students in two levels:
PhD and Master.
