Deputy for International Affairs

 

 

Introduction: With the purpose of developing international relations, the Deputy for International Affairs at the School of Public Health has been established as a new deputy in 2013. During this short period the Deputy for International Affairs has made several achievements including internationalizing the school such as attracting foreign students, expanding relations with foreign universities, conducting international seminars. drawing memoranda of understanding with world-class universities and research institutes as well as other international organizations, and exchanging foreign students and faculty members. Since the establishment of the International Affairs in the school, the directors have been Dr. Vatan-Doust and Dr. Takian.

Mission: Achieving a comprehensive and extensive internationalization scope for the School of Public Health in line with the four-years development program of the university

Vision: To achieve a comprehensive internationalization scope of the School of Public Health by establishing effective communications between the school's chancellor, universitys deputy of international affairs and other departments and deputies of the school of Public Health

Program Overview:

  • Constant interaction with senior directors, other faculties and bodies of the university to realize internationalization
  • Interactions and communication with the Deputy of International Affairs of the University about various affairs of foreign students including recruitment, scholarship and their affairs after recruitment
  • Interactions with the Deputy of International Affairs of the University about accreditation and ranking affairs of the university
  • Interactions with the Deputy of International Affairs of the University about school members and staffs affairs (domestic and overseas scholarship and assignments), heading the school's scholarship council and performing follow up affairs
  • Interactions with international organizations such as the WHO, UNFPA, UNDP, FAO and inviting senior directors of these organizations to participate in the programs of the School of Public Health, running introductory sessions about the mentioned organizations and expanding mutual cooperation.
  • Interactions with the school members and the staffs to participate in meetings with international organizations
  • Managing and running the sessions of recruitment and adaptation
  • Interaction with the chancellor, deputies and senior managers of other departments to facilitate foreign students' affairs ► Organize seminars and symposia for applicant scientific departments with the participation of international professors
  • Cooperating with the Deputy of International Affairs of the university to establish the consortium of European universities (Marhaba Program) to exchange students and notify elite students to participate in this program with the help of educational departments
  • Reestablishing foreign students' recruitment committees for admission and introducing them to the scholarship council of the university
