According to the coordination made by the respected International Vice-Chancellor of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the educational program for the field of Health in Emergencies and Disasters at the master's level in English was sent to be established at the International Branch of Tehran University of Medical Sciences; Subtain University of Medical Sciences in Karbala city.

This non-continuous master's course is an interdisciplinary educational program of various health sciences. It contained a set of theoretical and practical pieces of training, which is within the framework of disaster risk management policies, to maintain and improve the health of people in the society, to train committed specialists for all stages of disaster management such as prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery from emergencies and disasters.
